Absolutely not. The obedience commanded by Islam is not obedience to despotism. Surrender to or bowing before despotism is out of the question. Islamic obedience means accepting and listening to legal authority, Parliament, a leader, or an administrator. It's conforming to law and order. This is a duty. The duty of rulers is to refrain from misusing their position, rank, and esteem against the people in a despotic way. This relationship should continue in a harmony based on reciprocity.
